If you ever go to War

Never jump into a foxhole with a guy that is braver than you!   Remember, when the enemy is in range so are you.  Incoming fire has the right of way so don’t do anything stupid to draw fire; it irritates the people around you.

Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.  Professionals are predictable; it is the amateurs that are dangerous.

A Reasonable Golf Rule:

A golf ball striking a tree while in flight will be deemed not to have struck the tree unless the player making the shot attests that it was his intent to do so and that the tree was the target.  In that case play will cease so that his fellow players can congratulate him upon his marksmanship.

If the player declares that it was not his intention to strike the tree, then it was simply a case of bad luck, which has no place in a scientific game.   No penalty will accrue.  If that be the case, the player shall estimate the distance that the ball would have flown if it had not been interfered with and play from that spot.
